Plants was created using paper, botanical printed tags, mica, acrylic, brass, watercolor and alderwood. It was created during 2020.
Plants was made using a structure developed by Hedi Kyle that she calls a pocket accordion with separate cover. The featured plants (broad beans, ginger, hemp, licorice, spelt and wheat) are illustrated with ink and watercolor on card stock tags that were first botanically printed. The reverse side has text about each plant hand written in ink. The covers are alderwood with recessed mica labels and strap closure.
