Book: mica, walnut veneer, cork, paper backed veneer, linen thread, plant, insect and reptile specimens, moriki paper, transfer toner
Box: book board, book cloth, cork, laser toner, mica, hair on cowhide, bird nest, bird feathers, elk teeth, glass magnifying lenses museum board
The four rigid pages of this book are laminations of mica, insect and plant specimens. The rigid pages are attached to straps of laminated cork , then bound into split board covers. The front cover is constructed from layers of walnut veneer, mica and snake sheds. back cover is a laminate of walnut veneer and museum board covered with paper backed veneer.
Housed in a dustom drop-spine with a hair on hide covered tray base. Recessed into the tray are bird, mammal and plant specimens underneath sheet mica. The recessed box labels are transfer toner on cork, protected with mica.

The pages of this book are made with mica, papers and natural specimens
sewn onto stubs. Bound in full leather, laced on boards, handmade paper doublures, endmatter of machine made papers. The book is readable in either
orientation so no front or back is indicated. Housed in bespoke drop-spine
box with plant and lichen specimens protected under cast acrylic sheeting.
This work was designed & crafted in a studio perched on the
traditional lands of the Arapahoe, Cheyenne, Ute & Oglala Sioux.
