Animal Mineral Vegetable 6

The four mica pages in this six page book use mica that has been mined far below the surface. It has naturally occurring black marks that mimic gestural ink marks. This marked mica is stronger and is typically from larger blocks, hence the relatively large page size. Aside from the black markings it is exceptionally clear. Includes plant materials gathered from my yard and favorite forest, seed pods from a nearby wetland, butterflies and months from an inherited archive. The end pages are of heavy weight Cave Paper with surface applied color. Bound across the spine with shaped hardwood covers.
