The covers and text pages are thick poplar, bound with leather straps across the spine, with recesses carrying text panels and a variety of forest specimens cast in epoxy resin.

Over the past 40 years I’ve developed strong attachments to Weminuche Wilderness area, a tract of forest in the southwestern part of Colorado. Nearly 500,000 acres, the Weminuche is a place for wandering, sleeping under stars, soaking in hot springs and gathering. This book is a scrapbook of sorts, a collection of various specimens found during my rambles that are somewhat unique to this particular area.

Materials:

poplar, leather, linen thread, brass, mica, paper, oil, various specimens cast in epoxy, wood stain
