About this piece:

As I age, I spend more and more time quietly observing; letting my mind wander. In these moments I observe a great deal of activity taking place in a short period of time, in small, confined spaces.

This version of Minute is my interpretation of a space in a favorite forest, a cube of eighteen inches square or so. With only occasional insect, bird or mammal activity, the space at first appears unmoving or static. Yet it takes only the slightest breeze, just a breath really, to shift the plant-scape into a new arrangement of shapes.
