I've been increasingly interested in 3-D objects that don't rely on the physical interaction that bookworks encourage but rely instead on the selection and placement of elements rich with the patinas of age and the associations from prior use. Although seemingly different than books, these pieces are conceptualized by meandering down similar pathways. They are less physically interactive than books but originate from the same general impulse.
